01 - Arrange the sliced carrots in a large skillet. Pour in the water, add the butter, and sprinkle with brown sugar.
02 - Place the skillet over medium heat and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir continuously until the butter melts and the sugar dissolves completely.
03 - Cover the skillet with a lid and cook for 8-10 minutes, or until the carrots are just tender when pierced with a fork.
