01 - Preheat the oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
02 - Place trimmed asparagus spears in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
03 - Drizzle asparagus with olive oil, then sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Toss gently to coat evenly.
04 - Roast in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, until tender and slightly crisp at the tips.
05 - Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle Parmesan cheese evenly over the hot asparagus.
06 - Serve warm.
